Introduction to Photoshop
Who should attend?
First time or inexperienced Photoshop users or more experienced users of photo editing programs who would like to ensure they know the efficient tools and techniques to quickly and easily modify and enhance photos for print, web or email, or for importing to page layout programs.
Are there prerequisites?
Delegates will be expected to have good experience of this or other graphics programs. It is not an appropriate first program.
How is the course structured?
100% HANDS-ON TRAINING. This is a structured but fun one-day course with an expert trainer who uses intensive training techniques to help delegates explore the important features of this market leading photo editing program.
What is provided?
FREE: A very useful and easy to follow training manual.
FREE: Workshop sessions are available the Saturday after the training (you would be expected to practice your new skills between the course and the workshop).
What will be covered? |
· The toolbars, tools, commands, and controls of Photoshop |
· Understanding raster images and colour modes for print or for the web; exploring the image resizing/resampling techniques to change resolutions and print sizes |
· Using Photoshop’s many selection tools to enable the easy removal of backgrounds, or the editing only parts of an image |
· Exploring layers to create collages and for non-destructive editing. Using clone tool to clean up an image by removing unwanted parts of a photo. |
· Getting to grips with Photoshop’s more useful images editing tools to adjust the colour, tone and contrast of images |
· Saving images for the web, for print. Discussing paths and alpha channels for clipping in page layout programs |
